Governor Gavin Newsom signed new laws to limit Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE activities in the state. The legislation include bans on police using electrically conductive gloves and protections for immigrant communities. These actions follow a incident where a young girl's body was discovered in a dumpster, leading to the arrest of her mother. The new legislation aim to address concerns about ICE operations and support immigrant communities.
