FDNY fire marshals are currently investigating a suspicious fire that needed three alarms. It burned through a blocks-long scrapyard in Staten Island. The location was at Rector Street and Castleton Avenue. Dramatic clips were shared online, capturing flames and smoke rising high above the site.

In a separate event, a fire broke out at an auto body repair shop in Staten Island. Fire marshals have not stated whether these two incidents are connected. No additional details have been provided as yet.
