Sami Zayn claimed the Undisputed WWE Championship by beating CM Punk. That result came out of the September 11 Friday Night SmackDown in Mexico City. The show ended in a frantic final match for the finish. WWE posted the complete bout footage online. Bleacher Report gave results, grades, and arena reactions from the arena. Fox News also reported the new champion.

Zayn left with the title following the match in celebration. The SmackDown main event finished with Zayn celebrating the win in the ring. No other match details came out by the company. That turned out to be the September 11 edition of the show.
