Christa Pike, a killer convicted as a teenager, is scheduled for execution in only 19 days. Tennessee officials are picking official media witnesses for the execution. The state issued a media advisory identifying Pike as inmate number 261368. News.com.au reported on the scheduled execution. An opinion piece by Stephen Cooper in the Montgomery Advertiser says the case requires "a pound of flesh" over a piece of skull. Officials have not disclosed further details. The state has yet to name the witnesses. The execution is still set to go ahead as scheduled.
